The Palisades Fire Litigation is a mass tort litigation against the City of Los Angeles and its Department of Water and Power (LADWP) alleging that negligence and mismanagement of public lands and utilities caused the January 2025 Palisades Fire in the Santa Monica Mountains of Los Angeles and surrounding areas of Los Angeles, including Pacific Palisades, Topanga, and Malibu. The cases are brought on behalf of victims and survivors of the Palisades Fire to recover for their losses. The cases are consolidated under the Lead Case (the first filed case) of Grigsby, et al. v. City of Los Angeles, LA Superior Court Case No. 25STCV00832.
